PSA parent company, Collector’s Universe, acquires video game grading company WATA Games
In mid-July of 2021 WATA Games was sold to Collector’s Universe. WATA Games, for now, will continue to operate as a standalone company according to statements released about the sale. It will be interesting to see what impacts, positive or negative this might have on WATA who has been a victim of their own success with well documented struggles in delivering on promised turnaround times throughout 2020 and 2021. Time will tell how this, and the recent announcement of CGC launching a video game grading company, will effect the hobby of video game collecting but it seems a clear signal that the growth isn’t slowing and demand remains high for video game grading services.
